Chin Augmentation
The chin can be increased or decreased in size and the shape changed to reduce imbalance and to give the face a more symmetrical appearance.
To increase the size of a receding chin an implant is inserted in to the chin either through a small incision in the mouth or in the fold underneath the chin. To reduce a chin which juts out the bone is filed down.
Either type of surgery lasts 1-2 hours and requires general anaesthetic and an overnight stay in hospital.
